After meeting Mar’Tez while shooting a styled session back in February and hitting it off, we knew we wanted to work together again. I (Zach here!) am a twin and Iman & Mar’Tez are new parents to twins themselves, so I knew we’d have plenty to talk about. I offered any tips I had on what to expect. At the very least I could give them a heads up on twin life! Mar’Tez and myself slowing started to realize that He and I both spent some of our teen years going to metal shows back in the day. So getting together for a future creative session was imminent. I hit them up and we got to work on the vibe and mood of the shoot. We discussed music and thrifting and instantly had the perfect vibe in mind.
We met up with Iman and Mar’Tez in St. Louis, Mo. Rosalie had recently found a disco ball at a thrift store and we both knew it was a must for the shoot. The sun illuminated the studio. Mar’Tez and Iman’s color pallet for their outfits complemented the studio walls and just popped. I snapped a few shots with my SureShot film camera while Rosalie worked her magic. The final shots turned out to be some of the coolest work we’ve made.
