Brad and Ashley traveled from Nashville, Tennessee to their home town of Paducah, Kentucky to say I do! From the moment we first spoke with Ashley, we knew that their wedding vision was something we had to be a part of! Ash is the owner and artist behind Facing the Sunshine and used her skills to create her dream wedding DIY style! Some of the things included in her DIY wedding were the prints on all of her reception tables, her invitations, that stunning back drop she painted herself, and even the inspiration behind the abstract cake design that was executed by Violet Jam! Though most of the weddings at the Hotel 1857 take place indoor, Brad and Ashley wanted more of an urban feel, so Ashley brilliantly decided to use the alley connected to their venue! We LOVE how her mind works and we think their wedding day couldn't have been more perfect! (Even the crashers thought so! ;)  )

Ahhhh, it’s so hard to choose just one! We loved walking through Oktoberfest, an annual celebration in Downtown Paducah that just so happened to fall on our wedding day; as we posed for pictures in the thick of it all, people were cheering, clapping, and offerings their congrats. It was also amazing and so surreal to look around our reception and think about how everyone we love was drinking, dancing, mingling and having a blast under the same roof. There was so much love in that room, and it was the perfect way to start our marriage!
